♠♠♠ Flu, colds, RSV, Strep, pneumonia, acute bronchitis, and Covid-19 Update as of March 2023 ♠♠♠

Blue Ridge Eye Associates is open to comprehensive eye health and vision examinations, contact lens exams, follow-up office visits, eyeglass orders and pick-ups, and contact lens orders and pick-ups. With the ongoing concern and contagiousness of various viruses and bacteria (flu, colds, RSV, Strep, pneumonia, acute bronchitis, and Covid-19), we are following standard healthcare office safety protocols.  Since we are in close proximity to our patients (within 10 inches at the biomicroscope or when measuring for glasses), we ask that you wear your mask while you are in the office, regardless of your vaccination or immunity status.  We will be wearing ours.  If you are unable to wear your mask for your appointment at this time, we ask that you check back to see when masks are no longer required and schedule your appointment at that time.   Also, if you would like, you can go to the Patient Forms page above, print out the first page of the form, complete the top half, and bring it with you to your office visit.
Please call, text, or email Wally for additional information:

Health Alert–Keeping You Safe
Safeguarding the health of our patients, staff, and local community remains our highest priority and commitment during these difficult times. Following guidelines from trusted sources, we have taken comprehensive measures to ensure that our office remains safe and ready to serve you and your family. We will continue to promote a healthy and safe environment for all and ensure you receive the services and products you require.  We have our safety plexiglass shield at the check-in area for separation between patients and staff.  We continue to adhere to appropriate surface cleaning and hand washing measures.  We ask that you wear your mask while in the office, regardless of your vaccination or immunity status.  If you forget your mask, we can provide a new surgical-type mask to you at no charge.
Eyeglass Prescriptions Filled, many same-day or next-business-day
We realize that many people need new eyeglasses, even in times of uncertainty.  We offer same-day or next-business-day service, including regular and non-glare plastic lenses, on many single-vision (not bifocal or progressive) eyeglass prescriptions at no extra charge.   We also are able to order most eyeglass prescriptions that we do not have on-site.
Curbside/Front Door Pick-up
We are pleased to offer curbside/front door pick-up service for all contact lens and eyeglass orders until further notice. Simply pull up curbside, call our office at 540.434.EYES (3937), and Wally will deliver your contact lenses or eyeglasses to you at your car or at the front door.  We also continue to dispense contact lens and eyeglass orders in-office.
Social Distancing
In order to promote social distancing and limit the number of patients and other visitors in our office at any given time, we kindly ask that only the patient, and a parent or legal guardian for minors, enter the office.
