If you have a Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA), or Cafeteria Plan through your university or company benefits program, then the money you have contributed may expire after June 30th or December 31st. Eye examinations, prescription eyeglasses, and contact lenses are FSA/HSA eligible. Many patients use their “Benny Card”, a prepaid benefits card, for these purchases.
